AMBASSADORS COMMITTEE

This Chamber committee serves as a liaison between Chamber members and the Board of Directors and Staff.It welcomes new members to the Chamber, exchanges information and provides opportunities to network through Alive after Five! events.

LEGISLATIVE COMMITTEE

This Chamber committee reviews local state and federal legislation and makes recommendations of support regarding issues that will or will not benefit the business community as a whole.

NOMINATING COMMITTEE

This Chamber committee secures respected Chamber members who will represent the business community for the betterment of economic development by serving on the Chamber Board of Directors.

MAIN STREET FESTIVAL COMMITTEE

This Chamber committee meets year-round to plan and prepare for the Main Street Festival held in August of each year.

ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE

This Chamber Committee helps to coordinate and enhance planning and development activities in our business community.

MARKETING COMMITTEE

This committee is headed by a board member and is comprised of chamber members with professional experience in marketing and promotion.It’s purpose is to offer ideas and resources to help the chamber promote membership, communication, events, and the general mission of the chamber.

ANNUAL GOLF OUTING

This committee organizes the annual golf scramble open to the community and held in June.Recruiting golfers and sponsorships is a key focus of this group.You don’t have to be a golfer to enjoy serving on this committee!The committee meets from February to June.

ANNUAL TREE LIGHTING AND COMMUNITY SING

This committee works with the City of North Canton to set up the community tree lighting the first weekend of December.The school choral groups and local church choirs provide music, and the chamber works with the City and various donors to install the community Christmas tree.At least six months advance planning is necessary.

WOMEN’S DIVISION

A group made up of women of the Chamber membership whose mission is to promote issues of particular relevance to women in the workplace.
